About Imogen

Imogen grew up near Stirling in Scotland, and studied at Edinburgh University where she graduated with an MA in Mental Philosophy. She moved to London to train at the Drama Studio London and appeared in film, television and theatre productions ranging from the popular Taggart and Doctors to the slightly less well-known Like Thunder, an award-winning piece of devised Norwegian theatre. Entering political life in 2006, she was Deputy Leader of Lambeth Council from 2014-2018 where, having led the Environment and Sustainability and Children’s Services and Public Protection portfolios, she was responsible for delivering Lambeth’s financial strategy and ensuring that the administration’s mission of responsible financial oversight with compassion, ambition and fairness for all residents was made real.
Imogen is a Vice President of the RSPCA: she founded the Animal Welfare Champions network in London, which is supported by the RSPCA and works with politicians from across the capital. With over a decade of experience in politics and the third sector, she is an experienced contributor to print and broadcast media and advises clients on strategy and engagement. She lives in Clapham with her husband Morgan, son Magnus and dog Otto.
