The UK Government has announced £20m investment in Hamilton town centre

I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to speak to me and fill in my survey, you were an important part of this decision, and I’m delighted that your voices were heard.

Supporting Hamilton town centre was one of my key pledges in the general election, and the work doesn’t stop here. I’ll be joining the UK Government and South Lanarkshire Council to make sure every penny is spent where it will make the most difference. Decisions will be made with local input for the benefit of our community, and I can’t wait to see what we can do.

This is brilliant news for Hamilton, and I want the best for all our towns and villages. I’ll keep working for every part of Hamilton and Clyde Valley so that all of our communities can fulfil their potential.
